I knew I should have checked. So, whoever knew this without looking it up is off the hook. Thanks Martin. I can always count on you.

What a loving tribute to your grandmother! Such glorious architecture, landscapes, so very different from the bland area where I reside. Better watch out! One day I’ll have Scottie from the Starship Enterprise beam me over for a tag along! Switzerland 🇨🇭(linguistics too) is unimaginably cool! 😘

A solid Saturday spent exploring medieval castles. Stunning architecture. Reminds me of the walled cities in Germany, Rothenberg & Heidelberg. A fitting tribute to your Grandmother.

Thank you Sharon. I love castles and walled towns/cities. My favorite is still Visby. I might write about it some day.

Bellisimo Ticino. A child of Italian parentage raised in a Swiss family. Thank you for this shared loving tribute. I hope you have time to see Lake Lugano.

Grazie mille!

I didn't go down to Lugano on this occasion, but check out https://evelyne.substack.com/p/route-7-lugano-paradiso-to-morcote. I had great views of Lake Lugano on that one. There's also a YouTube video linked in there somewhere.

I loved this Saturday castle adventure taken with the spirit of your Grandma! Really beautiful photos! All of them! I liked the long shadows from the stairs. There were two selfies 🙂📷 Thank you for taking us along!

Thanks Rena. And well done for spotting the second selfie.

Oh and those stairs ... they didn't go high up and I wouldn't have fallen far, but I hated them.
