I LOVE MARZIPAN... Which is where my brain froze before you hit me with Old English.

Happy Easter, Evelyne, and ON TO BELGIUM!

I tend to hit people with random linguistic facts - I should put that as a warning.

And thanks! Same to you.

I like your public transport computations. I am jealous you have a country where it all works. I do similar calculations but for different reasons. In the UK, if your train journey is delayed, you get a refund, up to 100% depending on how much delay. So, it's worth aiming at very tight connections because there is a good chance something will go wrong and you miss a connection and then get a refund. Not great for getting from A-B but at least it's cheap!

Well, at least you're having a bit of fun when this happens. Or your brain is.

You can get a refund here as well if trains get cancelled or if a train is really late. And if you missed the last connection to where you were going they have to pay for a taxi or hotel. I usually don't bother with cancellations/delays, because there is always another way of getting there or then there's the next train and I have a annual train pass, but I once got a taxi up a mountain valley courtesy of SBB.

Oh yes, taxis. My record is Perth to Inverness (2hrs) at 10pm. You'd think running trains on time would be cheaper...

Mine was after midnight. I finally got there at 2.30 AM.

Yours is nuts - yes, trains would most likely be cheaper at that hour.

So much detail Evelyne; brilliant mind. So you’re thinking of expanding horizons? REALLY EXCITING. You deserve that!😘

Well, we'll see. I'd prefer Scandinavia - especially Denmark, but you never know.

Thanks Judith.

Love this newsletter. Getting to it late. Long day of pets.

Have to go back and reread language. I've been studying French but since i'm moving to Spain in a couple years, i've switched to Spanish.

Speaking of singing in Italian, I'm learning La Notte just because I must :)

Love marzipan!

Spanish? Fascinating. Good luck.

Of course you MUST learn La Notte. I mean, that's obvious.

Marzipan for the win.
