I think to you and your sister…our path of life that advances, with its losses but also with its new knowledge, friendships or « cadeaux » that enter in our lives, with our activities, passions... All this allows us to move forward, without forgetting the stages which built and consolidated our personalities.

Delightful! I thought birthday calendars in the bathroom were a German thing. My cousins had one and inspired me to keep a book on the dozens of family birthdays and anniversaries. Their father was Dutch so what you say now makes sense.
Evelyne, loved this post. No, not a single Swiss sane person would immigrate to the USA with our ongoing political chaos. Now would I get out and to Switzerland 🇨🇭 as quickly as someone could beam me over? You bet! Our sad country is overwhelmed with misinformation that extends the problems further. I fear the billionaires are largely to blame for this mess as they were allowed to “buy” politicians for favors and have been very busy doing so since Citizens United was passed. And they pick nitwits, idiots, insane “me, me, me” people for the jobs in governance.
There’s a very long road ahead to the side of justice and so very much hard work. 😓 I adore Biden but he is human, has erred, but his heart is in the right place. Can only hope he advances his agenda with his cabinet and is re-elected in November. The only issue is will his election be allowed to stand by the former and still insurrectionists? I love your quiet Sundays. I’d be at your front door and your best friend should you need one if I could move this antique body. Sadly, it is well and truly stuck in positions that do not bend. I remember and wish for the younger days when jumping up and walking were a favorite thing to do. Mobility is very underrated.
I am sorry you did not get to grow older with your sister. I had the same experience and find it difficult still. Enjoy this day and every sunny spring day that follows. Would love to hear if you are following the water conference at all. I just cannot this year, missing that. Take care, sweet girl. You are loved. 😘
