Are the tickets for women's games less costly? Funny that women soccer players are less dramatic, when the trope is that women are too emotional for this and that. Safe for families is wonderful.
Women's basketball is gaining in popularity here in the States.
Tickets were CHF 25 & 40 up to the quarter finals (that’s like $32/$50); then they went up slightly, but even for the final you could get seats for CHF 30 ($38). And the most expensive ones were CHF 90 (final only though; that’s $113).
I got a ticket for 25 Francs. Total bargain.
And I think I might need an entire newsletter to talk about men, women and who is more emotional. It depends on which emotions we look at 😉. I would say a rage-fueled rampage is pretty emotional, but that’s just me …
I’ve been behind in my reading all your stacks and I miss them so! Finding Stacks is now categorized I would call it which makes finding you easier by searching your name! Must catch up. Did you say job hunting again? Talented, restless worker! I literally walked into my cherished University Hospital and Cancer Center in Birmingham AL, USA, 🇺🇸, and moved around in various roles for 27 years until I retired. Favorite story; my last class before graduation was in a patient ward ultimately remodeled into my favorite last office ever! I wasn’t stuck, I was enchanted with the work. Before the internet, 🛜, much of my non-patient encounters were writing applications for funding,
patient evaluations, correspondence to physicians referring patients, etc. I enjoyed thinking quickly and dictating to secretaries so home venues would not have worked for me. It was a retro world including travel for cancer research which now would be zoom calls! Imagine the cities I would have missed. Loved it; the current state of cancer research would not have those rewards. Just late at night, thinking about how the world has changed!
What kind of work are you looking for? I agree; should be compensated for accomplishments not hours in a building. Time has moved on! 😘
Grumble”. I agree with everything you said, although I can’t imagine myself in an art museum saying, “I could have done that”. Art I can admire and love, but I was born without the artistic gene you have😊
I forgot to mention that I loved the train schedule you posted! Your country is amazing 🤩 I would have loved to ride that train and explore all the places on the schedule! The only one I’ve been to is Gstaad where my uncle hosted our family in the 70’s. I’m a mountain and snow lover, so all of Switzerland is one of my favorite places to visit💚

Let me know if you're ever in the area 😊
Thanks Anne - only just found that gene myself a little over a year ago.
Glad you liked my grumble 🤗
