Weather here perfect for travel if I could. Poor car sits in the garage pretty much useless since I cannot drive anymore. Caretaker takes me out to doctor once in a while and cruises around a bit so I can see how the town is changing. Really, 72 degrees F is as good as it gets but humidity very high and midnight. When I could drive, I’d get restless and drive to a store called Target, with just about everything. In the middle of the night just for fun. Love to look 👀 around and shop or did. Getting stingy with my money 💰 these days with uncertain future election coming. I believe it will favor our new dynamite duo KAMALA & WALZ. Trump is toast. He doesn’t know it yet but he will soon enough. That will make the world happy I think. The only problem as election looms is the Israel 🇮🇱 Gaza issue. So very many opposing ideas (one overwhelming truth; we should not be giving arms to that genocidal killer BiBi) . Biden working on a deal but even the master of diplomacy cannot convince those different religious factions that they should live together in peace. They never have in hundreds of years, why start now. Besides the hostages are surely all dead so there is no real leverage. The Bible has caused more pain and suffering than it ever did away with. So you’re home from your travels and I’m on my sofa watching movies, my other virtual travel. 🧳 No need to pack; that’s a plus. And what would I do with my sweet girls 😽😽? What, no photos? Such fabulous places. Maybe you had your camera and will post another time. Ideal travelogue! Just WOW I want to see those places but would melt in the heat for sure. I think you have more fun with the train schedules and such than the destinations. Plus you can write your book while traveling, you multitasker! Enjoy yourself! 😘
Love to meet wandering cats but feel compelled to catch them and care for them as streets are unsafe here. Shelters bursting at the seams with those waiting for homes. In my rescue days, captured and homed a great many; lots of “foster failures” ie could not part with them! ❤️😽
European travel can be amazing but finding the right ticket is a challenge. Just imagine: On line (eg train line), Basel Amsterdam sFr85. SBB Baden counter price: Turgi Brugg Basel Koln Amsterdam Harlem. sFr 77 1st class with seat reservations
I haven't bought at ticket in Switzerland for 35 years. Totally clueless.
International travel: I just go to the respective website or book through sbb.ch - worked really well for my Paris trips. Ticket went right on my Swiss Pass.
When I travel a bit more I just get an interrail pass - no hassle. Like in August when I went to the Netherlands and on the way home was on nine trains and three buses (in one day), that would have been a total nightmare to book individually. With my interrail pass I just activated the train/route I was taking on the app and off I went. I stayed away from trains with seat reservations on this occasion to stay flexible.
Buying the ticket was as a result of curiosity. Dropping into the kiosk whilst in Baden. Apparently if connections fail one can take the later train. We‘ll see.
Enjoy your travelogue! Sounds like you have a good life! Linda
Thanks, can't complain 😊
A bookshop!! Tell me, was ice cream involved? 😊
I didn't have time to get ice cream. I did just buy some though and had ice cream for dinner last night.

Thanks Judith.
No shopping at midnight here. We don't have 24h stores.
Met a cute cat on the way to the grocery store this morning.

This one had a home. It just wanted some scratches.

Yes you can, but your seat reservation is gone. Good luck!
