Lost for words …
I don’t think calling it the end of American democracy is an exaggeration. A majority of US voters has effectively decided to put an end to democracy.
This was a masterclass in deception, scare tactics and manipulation.
This is scary.
The election result is a disaster for the US but we must not surrender to fear and despair. This is what fascists want us to do. We can begin to reclaim our govt, our country in as little as 2 years with the mid-term elections.
This makes no sense. Mourning now but I will never believe this was a fair election without interference by Putin and friends. Bomb threats at polling places everywhere? People evacuated without voting? There are factors that must come out in coming days, weeks. Are we so ignorant that we did not hear Trump say “dictator for life”? Were we deaf?
I DO NOT ACCEPT THIS. There will be no more elections. When Trump should have been campaigning he was golfing and talking nonsense. Why was he so assured of victory he kept his lazy fat ass on the golf course where he will likely remain while the architects of Project 2025 who shared their MANDATE FOR LEADERSHIP take over our government.
I’m out for the present. Still without a roof; hoping Rafael doesn’t blow away the rest of my house. Time for self care.
